Today is the day for NG9-1-1….Are you ready?

GeoComm webinar: Through our National States Geographic Information Council (NSGIC) sponsorship we had the opportunity to host this upcoming webinar.

As a NSGIC member, it is likely that you’ve heard about and researched Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1), specifically, what NG9-1-1 means for your Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data. This webinar broke down NG9-1-1 information even further, describing what a GIS professional can expect during NG9-1-1 planning and transition. The webinar also covered why collaboration of GIS and 9-1-1 personnel will be more critical than ever before and what challenges GIS professionals may face. Our presenters described common approaches to the planning and management that must occur at all levels: local, regional, or statewide, and described to webinar attendees about what they should expect when assessing, improving, and maintaining GIS data for NG9-1-1.

If you missed the webinar you can still learn more by watching a recording of it. Please complete the form below to have a link to the webinar recording e-mailed to you.
