GeoLynx Demo

GeoComm’s Web-based distributed emergency operation center is a Web mapping application proven to be a vital component in critical situational awareness.

Shared Markups

GeoLynx EOC allows authenticated users to draw markups into the map.  When a user draws a shape into the map, all users can view the newly added shape in their Web browsers.  Markups added to the map by EOC users can also be viewed in other products in the GeoLynx Family, such as GeoLynx 9-1-1 and GeoLynx Mobile.  Markups drawn in those products can be viewed by GeoLynx EOC users.  Shared markups let users add content to the application from the bottom up, enabling users to easily sketch in boundaries and comments about emergency events and changing conditions during an incident.

EOC Markup Tools

GeoLynx EOC shared markup sketch tools include point, line, polygon, and text.  Points may be added using the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) Homeland Security Working Group's (HSWG) emergency symbol set.  This FGDC HSWG emergency symbol set is now an ANSI standard and helps multiple agencies, jurisdictions, and groups of GeoLynx EOC users obtain the same situational awareness by applying a national standard for marking emergency incidents on the map.
