MARC & GeoComm Partner for Regionwide Study
The Mid-America Regional Council (MARC), the nine county Kansas City metropolitan area with a population of 1.72 million, developed a plan for 9-1-1 security, redundancy, and diversity for their regional public safety system while partnering with GeoComm’s consulting team. GeoComm worked with the MARC public safety team to review and analyze the two major 9-1-1 systems in the region, the related infrastructure, and processes from operational, maintenance, and service level perspectives.

The time needed to ask a distressed caller what their address is and then attempt to locate them within the county limits the possibility for immediate response.
