Can your emergency response agencies communicate efficiently over your radio system? A local or regional tragedy should not prompt planning for interoperability. With so many components to consider, including interagency coordination, GeoComm provides an objective third party with advanced interoperability, radio systems, governance, and regulations knowledge.

GeoComm's consultants have in-depth, real-life experience in radio systems, interagency governance issues, and meeting federal, state, and industry requirements for interoperability.

As part of an interoperability planning project, GeoComm will provide a needs analysis including an exploration and recommendations for governance issues and a technical GAP analysis. These items will roll into the options and cost considerations tied to each option. We can assist with identifying grant support versus administrative support and are experienced at developing operational procedures based on a knowledge base that stretches back 30 years and includes all of the current practices and considerations in the industry.

GeoComm will make on-site vists to determine first, the customer's needs and goals; second, to inventory all existing equipment and sites via surveys; and third, to present and discuss your options. Our consultants have years of experience reviewing existing radio systems, designing cost effective upgrade, assisting with the procurement of new equipment, and managing new systems implementation. Our past project experience ranges from preliminary systems analysis to extensive multi-jurisdictional strategic interoperability planning.

When approaching interoperability planning we start with:

• The customer's goals

• Past radio and interoperability planning

• The customer's current interoperability capabilities

• Any regional or state plans for interoperability

“GeoComm’s wireless implementation consulting services provided Polk County with a timely project. The project management skills of our lead consultant offered us a smooth transition to wireless implementation that would have taken much longer were GeoComm not involved. Not only did GeoComm run a good project, the industry knowledge of current technologies was an advantage to us.”

– Jill Stoffel, Communications Administrator, Polk County Sheriff's Department, Balsam Lake, Wisconsin
