GeoComm in the Eastern United States

 

Meet Bill Petrea, GeoComm’s Territory Sales Manager for the Eastern United States Region.  Bill recently joined GeoComm, with over 21 years of experience in the public safety industry.  Bill brings a wealth of industry experience and knowledge, making him a key addition to the GeoComm family.  Prior to joining GeoComm, Bill served in various public safety roles throughout his career in both the public and private sector, ranging from dispatcher to the director level as well as a serving as the Technical Services Specialist at APCO.

In his new position, Bill will serve GeoComm’s Eastern territory consisting of: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Tennessee, South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.

GeoComm Now Available for Purchase via the Maryland Department of Information Technology Commercial Off-the-Shelf Software Contract

GeoComm, a leader in public safety communications, has been accepted, effective May 2016, onto a Commercial Off-the-Shelf Software (COTS) contract through the State of Maryland’s Department of Information Technology (DoIT).  The program, launched in 2008, is a statewide contract that allows government agencies throughout the state to have the ability to obtain software and services quickly, efficiently, and cost effectively.
This government contract simplifies the process for state and local government agencies in the State of Maryland need to complete to purchase our public safety GIS software and services offerings.  This award is significant because it allows agencies to directly acquire products and services through the COTS contract without going to bid or through exhaustive competitive pricing procedures.
