Automatic Vehicle Location Extension
The rule-based geofence feature in GeoLynx AVL can be configured to monitor vehicles. If a unit travels into a restricted area or outside an allowed area of operation, the geofence monitor will broadcast alert notifications via e-mail or Short Message Service (SMS) text message. Geographic rules can be further refined by time of day so off-duty units do not trigger fence alarms.
