NENA Involvement

GeoComm is committed to the 9-1-1 and public safety community.  We participate in the industry as a National Emergency Number Association (NENA) member, a NENA Next Generation Partner Program (NGPP) member, and a member of several NENA workgroups.  Our NENA participation has many benefits to our current and future customers.

  • We have access to the most comprehensive and up-to-date information about all things 9-1-1 and therefore, better equipped to assist our customers in identifying potential issues with their current system.
  • Our NENA workgroup participation ensures that our NG9-1-1 products and services will meet the adopted NG9-1-1 standards as they emerge, affords us the opportunity to influence technological evolutions in our industry.  This participation ensures that we remain on the cutting edge technologically in regards to critical issues that the market faces and that the software we provide our customers meets NENA standards.
  • Numerous staff members are certified NENA Emergency Number Professionals (ENPs).  Through this certification, they have pledged to stay aware of 9-1-1 issues and committed to being a public safety leader.  Our ENPs provide our customers with the highest level of knowledge for emergency number program management.
  • We have participated in, tested software, and co-organized multiple Industry Collaboration Events (ICE).   ICE events are testing events sponsored by NENA and aimed at supporting multiple vendors working together to deliver interoperable NG9-1-1 elements.  By taking the lead and co-organizing the upcoming 2016 ICE 7 event, we are demonstrating our dedication to bringing vendors together in an open, supportive, and collaborative environment.
