FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Nationwide
GeoComm deploys over 3,500 ESRI ArcGIS Engines in GeoLynx
9-1-1 and GeoLynx Mobile
Contact: Amanda Romaine, GeoComm
St. Cloud, MN: Since 2007 GeoComm has deployed over 3,500 ArcGIS
Engine runtimes for public safety customers in over 40 US states.
ArcGIS Engine runtimes are embedded in two of GeoComm’s core
products, GeoLynx 9-1-1 and GeoLynx Mobile.
In 2006, GeoComm upgraded GeoLynx 9-1-1 and GeoLynx Mobile to
ESRI’s ArcGIS Engine. The ESRI ArcGIS Framework gives GeoLynx
9-1-1 and Mobile access to more types of maps, better map display
capabilities, and more powerful search and analysis tools, along with
better integration into existing county, city, and regional GIS
enterprises.
GeoLynx 9-1-1 is a mission critical dispatch GIS for E9-1-1 PSAPs
(Public Safety Answering Points). GeoLynx Mobile is a public safety
in-vehicle mapping and navigation application for police, fire, and
ambulance vehicles.
GeoComm has been an ESRI partner since 1997 and recently won an
ESRI Business Partner of the Year award for 2008. GeoComm’s
partnership with ESRI helps GeoComm create products that exceed
customer expectations and set industry standards.
About GeoComm: GeoComm, an integrated GIS and public safety
consulting firm, creates systems for 9-1-1. These systems originate
