GeoComm Awarded GSA Contract

GeoComm, a leader in public safety software, consulting, and Geographic Information Services (GIS), announced today the company has been awarded a GSA IT Schedule Contract (#GS-35F-0594S) from the federal government's General Services Administration to provide Information Technology services.

This government schedule simplifies the process for local, state, and federal agencies to purchase our powerful public safety GIS software solutions. This award is significant because it allows agencies to directly acquire products and services through the GSA schedule without going to bid or through exhaustive competitive pricing procedures.

All of the applications in the GeoComm Software Suite are included on the contract and the published price list is available on our Web site http://www.geo-comm.com.

The GSA Schedules Program establishes long-term government-wide contracts with commercial firms. GSA Schedules provide federal customers with commercial services and products at pre-approved discounted pricing, which are delivered directly to the customer. Products and services can be ordered directly from GeoComm. Using the GSA Schedules offers the benefits of shorter lead times, lower administrative costs, and opportunities to meet standards.

Dan Rudningen, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at GeoComm, said, "Being on the GSA Schedule enables GeoComm to offer an easy-to-use contract vehicle that most of our customers are familiar with. We are extremely pleased to have received the award of this GSA schedule, as it opens up a wealth of opportunities for us...and for our customers. As a result, we can help jurisdictions quickly receive what they need for an effective E9-1-1 system.

About GSA: GSA is a centralized federal procurement and property management agency created by Congress to improve government efficiency and help federal agencies better serve the public.
